Recently I've been checking out MacBook Pro. My first computer was a Mac. Since those early days it's been basically all PC laptops. In my investigations I've noticed this incredibly stupid surge of warring parties... it's almost beyond worthless. Did I miss this war? I mean, I knew there was the Mac versus PC bull, but who cares what computer you use and why on earth would anyone care what another uses? What kind of misplaced defensiveness happens when two adverse personalities meet up on some of these Mac versus PC information boards? The insults are deep, personal and rarely have anything to do with the actual machines... it's all about the POWER and GLORY of being the user of a PC or Mac. I mean... who cares? Who cares! If I get a Mac, I'm certainly not going to think I'm superior or that, conversely, I'm so stupid that I need a "stupid person's" computer like a Mac... I'm certainly not to going to use a PC and claim that PC's are for the intelligent quota... who cares?? It's a freaking computer. It's there to do OUR BIDDING. If you like Mac, great. If you like PC's...fabulous. Who cares and why do these people fight as if they have nothing in their lives to fight for BUT the status of their royal computer? Oh wait... I just answered my own question. They have no lives.
In the end... does it really matter to another if you have a PC or a Mac? No, it doesn't.
Actually, for artwork, IMO, it matters a good deal. My husband is a freelance computer graphics designer and I use a digital camera for most of my photography and IME the mac just plain has better graphics software and capabilities. In all fairness though, Microsoft Word is pretty much the best word processing/ office program I can think of. Depends on what you use your computer for most often.

Yeah, I think I need to more specific... it's not the computer I'm referring to caring about..it's the stupid FIGHT between the owners. Sure, Mac's are awesome for art and music and PC's are fabulous for word docs and mathematical programs. It's not about the actual machines, it's about the people who fight these ridiculous battles to proove theirs is the way.

Men will make ANYTHING into a competition, won't they (with hot dog eating, really gross slasher flicks and NASCAR as the prime examples).
