This is a birthday present for my husband, Valyn. It's his favorite fictional vampire, the legendary Jean Claude of the Anita Blake series. I've been reading the books, and I know I'm coming into the game at a pretty late stage but how could I resist drawing this gorgeous vampire master?

I've seen many JC's in art but Valyn told me he was never satisfied with the images that he'd seen. So, I decided to get into his head (with minimal surgery) and pull out this image.

So, baby, I hope this makes you happy. Hell, how couldn't he?

SO beautiful. no wonder he didn't like any of the others. The emotion in his brow and lips go above and beyond all of the other fanart pieces. So beautiful!!

Absolutely love it! (I've just started reading the AB books too, so we're both latecomers. ;)) I think it's a perfect representation of Jean Claude. Much better than how they depicted him in the comics.
